“For 2008 D3 has added the X-factor to the Nomad RC. While we were extremely pleased with the success of the 2007 RC, there were a few final adjustments we felt would really improve performance even further. We were very careful not to change any of the positive performance characteristics that made the RC such a worldwide success. For the final piece to the perfect performance puzzle we felt a modification to the rocker was all we needed.”
“The rocker of a ski can be manipulated by adjusting the skis internal lay-up. One of the problems with manipulating the skis natural rocker is the ski will always want to return to its natural molded shape. Another problem is your lay-up must become “unbalanced” to re-shape the rocker. Knowing these challenges the decision was made to re-cut the RC molds for 2008 to achieve the perfect rocker pattern creating the all new RCX . This was an extremely expensive and time consuming procedure but we felt to REALLY improve the ski this was our only choice. After extensive testing by our D3 Pros and numerous national caliber skiers across the country we can safely say “mission accomplished”. We were not only successful in giving the ski an improved on-side turn and better glide out to the buoy we made it much easier to reproduce the same ski day after day. This gives me the confidence to say, You WILL improve your scores on the new 2008 RCX .”
